Today’s TBOTD Text Bae Of The Day, Jamekia Bies, is an executive producer of the Help 2 Others (H2O) foundation, which is a non-profit organization to help pay water and wastewater bills or minor plumbing repairs for senior customers.
H2O was founded in 2004 and Jamekia is on a mission to help financially struggling senior customers maintain their access to water.
Jamekia stated “So getting people to open their (minds) that maintaining access to water isn’t just a luxury that everyone should be able to provide for themselves. It’s the luxury that the seniors in our community sometimes have to make a choice between their medicine and their water bill or their food and their water bill. My goal is to not only focus on the individual, but the whole family concept,”
