Jefferson County is moving forward with a County Comprehension plan, which is a 20-year outlined strategy for the future development and growth of the county aiming to guide land development throughout the unincorporated areas of the county and help with the prioritization of public infrastructure investments.

Jefferson County is actively involving its residents in the planning process as they are gearing up for the second round of meetings that will touch on complied feedback from previous meetings, explaining local historical and economic stat, as well as compare with regional and national trends.
